Check out the cover of the Daily!

I don't think we can get better publicity than what we have had this year. The campus is covered in posters thanks to Don Anderson's awesome pictures, Josh Kelly made us a great video promo, we made it on the cover of the daily thanks to Marilyn Putney's tenacity, there are fantastic signs in front of the school thanks to Amy Christel, and we did two big assemblies yesterday to spread the word out at the middle schools. This is all just awesome.
AND the show is going really well and is going to be a blast!
There will be big crowds so tell your parents and friends to buy early. Especially if they are thinking of coming Wednesday night.
Thanks for all your hard work. I think it is going to be totally worth it!
Best,
BL

HEAVENLY BANDSTAND!

Greetings! Thanks again for a fantastic retreat. I had such a great time, and the rehearsals were so productive, and the Talent Show was just the best ever. Thank you so much.
Below is important show info. Please read it thoroughly.

Today after school there is a teacher practice. There will also be a photographer there from the Daily and I would love for there to be kids and adults rehearsing together for the picture. If you can come rehearse the Finale with us after school, that would be great.

On Thursday, I would like to try and run the show with everyone who is free from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Just start at the top and see what we have. Anyone who can't come, we will skip to what we have.

On Friday we are performing at the middle schools. You must wear your fifties costume. You can dress during brunch.
At 10:20 we will meet in the choir room and walk over to Terman. This needs to happen fast, since we will need to figure out
all the spacing etc. when we get there, and the assembly is at 11:25!
I am thinking we could do:

ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK
MAGIC CHANGES (JORDAN, COULD YOU SING MR. DEGGELLERS PART?)
SCENE TWO WITH FOOLS FALL IN LOVE AND JOHNNY ANGEL
LOLLIPOP
MR. SANDMAN
STUPID CUPID
LITTLE BITTY PRETTY ONE
IT'S IN HIS KISS
LITTLE DARLIN
HEARTBREAK HOTEL (CAT, COULD YOU SING YOUR PART AND DMELS PART?)
JAILHOUSE ROCK
TUTTI FRUTTI (BUT SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TO SING THE SOLO. ANY VOLUNTEERS???)
WE GO TOGETHER

CONCERTING THE ASSEMBLIES, I NEED TO KNOW:
1) WHO IS GOING TO THE ASSEMBLIES OR NOT
2) WHO IS GETTING THEIR OWN RIDE HOME FROM JLS AT 3:05, MEANING YOU ARE WALKING HOME OR BEING PICKED UP FROM THERE.
3) WHO DOES NOT HAVE A WAY BACK BUT MUST GET BACK TO GUNN FOR THE PLAY OR A SPORT AT 3:15 AND CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SCHOOL BUS. WE WILL COLLECT THIS INFO IN CLASS TODAY.
4) IF YOU ARE A PARENT WHO COULD DRIVE A CARLOAD OF KIDS FROM JLS TO GUNN AT 3:05, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THE SCHOOL BUSSES WILL COME BACK TO TAKE US
FROM JLS TO GUNN EVENTUALLY, BUT THEY HAVE TO DO THEIR SCHOOL TO HOME RUNS FIRST, AND SOME KIDS HAVE TO GET BACK SOONER THAN THAT.

Sat Feb 6 we will rehearse all students on stage starting at 10:00.
Sun Feb 7 is a full runthrough with costumes onstage from 10-3.
Monday Feb 8 is our last rehearsal day. We will start right after school at 3:00. We will stay no later than 8:00.
Tues Feb 9 is the show. 3:00 runthrough. 8:00 Show. (We are bringing in pizza for inbetween.)
Wed Feb 9 no after school practice, but a show at 8:00.

A few details:
1) There is a google doc that you may or may not have seen. It has a lot of recordings and youtube vids linked to it, as well as the schedule and costume info.
Check it out: Choir Show Googledoc

2) I have Don Anderson's fantastic posters, each with it's own unique rehearsal shot. I need volunteers to put them up all over school. I will have the big pink posters by this afternoon. If you can put one of those up in a store window anywhere were it will get the word out, please take one!

3) Tickets are on sale in the SAC and online. Please do everything you can to publicize it.
Be sure to send the poster out to all your Facebook friends. We want to pack the joint!

4) Try to enjoy all this and not get too stressed out about it. The show is in fantastic shape, and the audience is going to have a great time. Don't forget, it is supposed to be FUN!
